Some companies with long time yahoo.com rooted websites may go off line. My own 17 year site blinked off today and after three hours of frustration learned the Yahoo Small business company (Abaco) I pay each month did not renew the domain name as it has been done religiously and automatically all these years. The domain owning company – Network Solutions – turned my site off for non-payment as a result.
The Network Solutions guy told me he had just seen a listing with hundreds of web sites that had their domain names yanked for probably the same reason.
My own particular problem has since been solved and we're back on line, but if any customers experience trouble please redownload the site address and/or refresh the view.

It appears Yahoo Groups have stopped accepting new posts. I had just uploaded and extensive AAR to our Yahoo group and it wont post. Of course I didn't save to my hard drive.

No your wrong it is still down world wide. I just checked it is still down. You need to scroll down to the message board where people are posting outages. Yes you can log onto Yahoo but you cannot post to any groups. Our group moderator confirmed that.

I belong to about 25 yahoo groups and no one has posted to them sense yesterday about 5:00pm MST. Definitely something wrong. Very infuriating since I had just wrote a long and detail AAR and did not save a copy.

My original posting above dealt with Yahoo dot coms, but after reading about possible problems posting to Yahoo groups I just posted a 'Test' message as moderator to the Yahoo Ironclads group. No problem at all and it was posted right away.

I have done the same thing and nothing is posting from anyone it is as if time stopped yesterday. Now Flickr is not allowing new photos to be posted. Photographers have lost their photos. Same report from multiple users. This problem is worldwide. Yahoo reported it is having "server issues" believe to be caused by hackers.

Looks like the worst over. Unfortunately I lost a lengthy AAR.

17 years? Really?

And … you know, advances in tech, progression. etc. etc. … and you didn't once think to "check"?
