Sorry that this post is very OFF TOPIC, but I thought one of you kindly gamers in the UK might help me with this. Growing up in Detroit, I saw a lot of Ealing Studios movies on the CBC. I recall a comedy in which there was a town with 100 people and a 99% employment rate. The plot revolved around the townspeople trying to find a job for a hobo who liked being a hobo and didn't want a job. In the end, they sort of gave up and made a job for him as a tester in a mattress factory.

Does anyone recall the this movie and/or have the title? I would love to see this movie again. Over the years, I have collected quite a few of these post-war British comedies and would like to add this to my collection.

Again, sorry for being off topic.

That's it! Thanks very much.

Do you know if a DVD is available?

I saw it many years ago. An enjoyable film with a great cast.

While we're on the subject, what was the one that featured a tiny homemade A bomb?

"I know what I saw, 'n I saw a mushyroom!"

That's all I remember.

Hafen, Not sure, but are you possibly thinking of "The Mouse That Roared"

Maybe,but it's been decades,either way,so I don't know. I do recall an actual "tiny" atomic explosion-- I don't remember one in Mouse.

Now that I think about it, I believe it was set in a small village, and the bomb was created by some children.

And no,it's not "Children of the Damned"--this one was a comedy! : )
