Sometimes I wonder if my forces are up to shenanigans when I am not around to keep an eye on them.

Would that be considered a short round?

I have to say, there are some really persistent people out there.

But they're probably not.

I used to play wargames with an ex-Marine, and he told the story of the very first time he was trained on the hand grenade. They had big hole with a concrete rim, and each Marine would walk up to the rim, receive a grenade from the instructor, pull the pin, and drop the grenade in the hole.

My friend, who was not the first in line, dropped the grenade into the hole, then stuck his head over the rim to watch the grenade fall. The instructor grabbed him and pulled him away from the rim and right to the ground just before the grenade detonated.

I'm sure some choice words were used.
