Just looking at a recent ad on TMP and was wondering what weapon is laying in view: TMP link

Is it Italian?

Thanks!

Hmmmm, Hungarian Danuvia 39M?

Fred Cartwright17 Sep 2017 3:31 a.m. PST

No, not the Danuvia. It has a wooden stock that goes almost to the end of the barrel.

It is the Beretta Model 38 I am sure. The barrel protruding well past the end of the stock and the slight forward angle of the magazine clinches it.

I think that could slay, but not lay.

But we'll still never know what the infamous Airfix "British Paratroops" are supposed to be carrying! :)

Nope. It's a 38A. It has both the barrel shroud (magnify the picture) and the wood forestock extends beyond the magazine.
