I am surprised nobody has commented on this game even though it is a turn based PC game and therefore slightly OT:

I have about 60 hours sunk into the SP campaign now. If you are a BSG fan, the game is a great buy. It is very fun and thematic. It has a few flaws like a sometimes clunky UI and some ship cost/effectiveness issues that are being tweaked by the developers, but they are forgivable flaws in an otherwise entertaining and authentic BSG experience.

Few comments on Star Ranger but less here I suppose, I watched a vid from Total Biscuit on it as well. Seems pretty fun, but I got too many games to play:

I've been following youtube videos on the beta testing. I will end up getting it for the X-Box One when its released for consoles.

Years ago I gave up the great PC rat race. It seemed every year I'd have to spend a 100 bucks or more to upgrade my computer in order to play a new released game.

Looks really cool. Can't believe that dude crashed 2 of his ships together… lol.

You can crash ships into each other? Checking this out now…

The game looks really interesting.

Still too early access for my tastes. Waiting a few months for patches and a sale. Ditto for the new 40k Inquistor game.

Thats pretty cool. IR thats one of the things I loved about "Secret Weapons over Normandy" for the original Xbox. Players of course could crash, but even the AI 'pilots' could do the same. Gave it a true sense of reality.
Ironwolf ..getting it for the X-Box One when its released..

I can understand that. OR, just the opposite. As w the Xbox or Xbox One, not all games are 'reverse compatible'. Ive had to just give up some games as the sys. got outdated, and the new comp. were 'too fast' to run a favorite game. Its become very frustrating.

Its great for those of us who find ourselves (from time to time) w extra time or house bound for one reason or another. To have 'computer' games to fall back on.

But PC/Console games, also makes me thank God for friends, miniatures and the simplicity of dice.
