Does your game club have a smoking policy, and if so, what is it? |

It's against the law in my country to smoke indoors in a public place. |
saltflats1929 | 06 Sep 2017 2:59 p.m. PST |
Only the dice are allowed to smoke. |
Dynaman8789 | 06 Sep 2017 3:11 p.m. PST |
Most public places are non-smoking these days. I would not play at a place that had smoking either. |
Toaster | 06 Sep 2017 3:56 p.m. PST |
You may smoke but I may use my water pistol to extinguish it. |
Doug MSC | 06 Sep 2017 5:11 p.m. PST |
No Smoking! None of those who game with us smoke anyway. |
Bashytubits | 06 Sep 2017 5:44 p.m. PST |
No smoking, we used to have one player who did but only outside the house. |
emckinney | 06 Sep 2017 5:57 p.m. PST |
Prohibited indoors in public places in our area. |

I once set my dice on fire, they smoked quite a bit. |

I was the last smoker in my gaming group and I quit 15 years ago. |

Do people still smoke? Well, I am in California, so maybe that affects my perspective. |
Rudysnelson | 06 Sep 2017 8:11 p.m. PST |
Smoke outside. Smoke reduces the value of books, miniatures and terrain. |
skinkmasterreturns | 07 Sep 2017 3:05 a.m. PST |
I miss the smell of pipe tobacco. Not enough to take it up myself, mind you. |
Bob in Edmonton | 07 Sep 2017 5:18 a.m. PST |
Municipal bylaw prohibits indoor smoking in store we game at. Don't think anyone in the group smokes anyhow. |
Ed Mohrmann | 07 Sep 2017 5:59 a.m. PST |
Places we game, either public or private, don't allow smoking inside. |
foxweasel | 07 Sep 2017 8:26 a.m. PST |
I go outside as I'm the only occasional smoker in our gang. But if everyone in the group smoked and it was in my shed, there would be a much more realistic atmosphere to black powder battles!😁 |

We play at my house. No smoking. Not on the porch. Not in the yard. Don't come in reeking of it. Too rough? Well, I'm not allowed to fart in the dining room, and my name is on the mortgage… Do people still smoke?Well, I am in California, so maybe that affects my perspective. Funny. Every time I visit Cali, there are more people out smoking on the streets leaving a trail of filth in the air for me to walk through than at "home" in DC (which has enough of that as it is). |
Onomarchos | 07 Sep 2017 10:20 a.m. PST |
In California what you see people smoking may not be tobacco😜 |
Bobgnar | 07 Sep 2017 1:30 p.m. PST |
We play in a private home. There is no "policy" as nobody seems to smoke. In fact around Town I hardly see anybody smoking. I recently went to another country, was surprised to see so much smoking going on in public. |
Shagnasty | 07 Sep 2017 5:34 p.m. PST |
No more, but I miss the days when my friends and I smoked our pipes and cigars as we gamed in our homes. Time and fashion have ended such activities. |
Oberlindes Sol LIC | 08 Sep 2017 1:17 a.m. PST |
On the other hand, I almost always smoke a cigar while playing poker, but that's not wargaming. |
Rdfraf | 08 Sep 2017 9:35 a.m. PST |
Here in California smoking tobacco is evil but smoking marijuana is progressive and enlightened! |
skinkmasterreturns | 10 Sep 2017 4:10 a.m. PST |
Yep,and Marijuana has just as much if not more of the tars in it.I dont have any idea if there is any link to any sort of cancers, because theres no data. |
