I don't know why they think that Russian guy with an axe is a bonus figure. Are these guys next up on your painting list? |

The Streltsi ? I see them as an extra, an unwanted extra, particually as the sets they come in have 4 sprues so IMHO, they could be another pose within the set. Any I aquire get given away. Iīm serously considering getting hold of some of the sets and adding them to my ACW Project…but seeing as they are new issues..would it really be "old School" anymore if I used them? |

Most of these guys look like they could be used as standard bearers as well so very useful in my book since I am seldom impressed by the figures actually provided for that purpose and (rant) they never include enough for both flag bearers for the Union units. |

A great deal of effort on not very useful poses IMO. |

For diorama makers, of which our German cousins specialise, I would imagine these will e very useful. And I never mind using guys at rest – it breaks up the ranks of row upon row of marching guys |

Possibly, the only truly usefull pose would be a fig that first stands at ease, then starts marching, then runs into attack, stands/kneels and fires, lays/crawls about wounded or lays down dead, face Forward or sideways or on its back or scatters itsself about after a Shell burst, finally coming back together to stand to Attention ready for the next battle… ..and As Marc says, usefull for dios or Davidīs, Standard bearers. |

Now these are NICE! A real breath of fresh air compared to the balletic poses (often in fantasy costumes) usually offered. And believe it or not, soldiers do actually spend more time standing around (the familiar "hurry up and wait") than leaping around wielding bayonets or upside down muskets a la Daniel Boone or John Wayne at the Alamo….. I like them and will be ordering them to replace a lot of my Airfix, Revell and Imex figures YMMV |
