Well it is only 2 months to Warfare, even less to Colours, both excellent shows, but as I am the trade organiser for Warfare I will provide more details for that show.
We will be holding Warfare 2017 at the rivermead centre as usual, on Saturday the 18th November and Sunday 19th November. We have managed to maintain the admission at £5.00 GBP
I should let every one know that the company running the car park at the show will not do a deal to allow you free parking paid for by us. As such you will need to pay for your parking. It is one of those new fancy systems where you put your car registration number in and pay your money. One good point is the ticket machines are all by the entrance and once you have paid you do not have to return to your car to put a ticket on it. The machine remembers…. (Skynet may be with us sooner than we feared!)
Anyway having fathomed the car park machines, the real reason you are coming is for the goodies and the eye candy.
We have over 70 traders this year, I believe the most we have ever had, due to retirements, a wedding and other commitments a few of our regular traders are unable to be with us this year, though with the exception of those retiring I hope to see them back next year. This does of course mean we have space for some new traders this year.
Please check out the list below to see if your favourite traders will be with us.
Great Escape games as usual will be in the bring and buy room along with this year with Pit Gaming who will be on the other wall near the B&B checking in desks.
Speaking of which we will of course have our very famous (well I've heard of it) bring and buy stand in it's own room where many gorgeous things will be on sale for bargain prices, some of them will not even be owned by me!
With your arms full of goodies you have purchased from our traders and the B&B it's time to head over to the huge bowling hall where you can witness many intense gamers playing in the tournaments as well as the infinitely more interesting demonstration and participation games of which we have the usual huge range. Admire the eye candy, speak to the demonstrators, take photos or of course join in, there is bound to be something there for everyone.
If you want to know more about the Wargames Association of Reading we meet every Wednesday night just outside reading between junctions 10 and 11 of the M4, we also hold 10 Sunday events of the year, January to October, these are free to non members to attend if you are expected, payment is only required if you are joining in one of the tournaments we hold on some of these Sundays
We have a website at link and can be found on facebook by typing in wargames association of reading in the search box.
