I've been able to get a working map up. It's not yet 100%, but close enough to present a good representation of the physical and political geography.

I was inspired, recently, when looking through Warlord Games' miniatures for the ECW, especially the Scots, and those figures will also find a place in my little world.

Heck, with it being over 100 degrees outside, I've (wisely?) elected to stay indoors for the day.

The result is that I went back to the map mentioned above, added a little to it and then created another map which will aid me in keeping to certain themes regarding military uniforms and weapons based on nation and era.

Sorry to be contrary but I don't even use a map any more. the players lost it, or never assembled it.

I did send you the huge five by 8 map, and that was composed on Corel Draw.

The map is useful for telling stories, to give a sense of place to the readers. It also allows me to adjust the borders, even have a country become absorbed, and show this as part of a timeline.

Players will have little to zero interaction with a map.
