I've checked my Knotel, Blandford Uniforms of the World and my Lorenzo Books Uniforms of C19th as well as some googling. Unless I'm missing something really simple, the uniform details seem to be split: Artillery- same as Infantry except darker blue trousers OR red jacket. Cavalry – hussars in Prussian dragoon blue – dragons either in Prussian dragoon blue OR red jackets and dark grey jodhpurs. Infantry – dark blue jackets and light blue trousers (except for the Livgard). Can anyone help so that I can send my unpainted chaps off to Fernando in Sri Lanka to be painted correctly? Cheers! |
