My very first purchase directly from Iron Wind Metals resulted in a miscasted dragon that is missing his lower jaw and one hand.
I emailed them twice with pics and got no reply.
Its been 2 months now, and still no reply.

GW and Reaper are really great companies when it comes to miscasts.
Sadly, Iron Wind seems to not be that kind of company.

I've not had a negative experience with IWM. Of course, my last order was a couple of years ago.

However, I expect that there's a reasonable explanation as opposed to some nefarious one.

I think the Iron Wind Metals recently changed hands or had some other changes in operations with new representatives at Historicon. Perhaps your email did not reach the correct person. I would try to reach out to them again by phone and email as things do go missing in regards to communications.

I've dealt with them for a while and they are usually pretty on top of this. I'm guessing chaos rather than incompetence….

BTCTerrainman,

Ah thanks buddy, that might explain it.
I didnt know the company was undergoing changes or some such.

I did email their order processing dept which sent my order confirmation. And the order confirmation did have this line in it: "Please reply to this email if you have any questions."

Then later, I did use their site's "problem with my order" online ticket support system.

But if they are indeed in the middle of a restructure, I will wait until they are settled in and try again in a few weeks.

+ GenCon.

They were active on facebook today. Have you tried that communication method?

I've never had a bad experience with them. I'm guessing something went wrong and would recommend trying direct contact either through face book or on the phone.

BVTraders have them now.

We represent IWM at shows only, having taken over that job from Jim Fox. No changes in the home office that I know of. I am not sure why they have not responded. Though the last 2 months have been busy with Origins, Historicon and Gencon. Please try again through the website or facebook. If that doesn't work let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I have always had good experiences as well…my guess is the email had issues.

Ditto the good experiences result. I think this is an anomaly.
