For an ECW campaign I have a nice map of C17 England. It won't be used for the campaign engine, for which I will use a boardgame, but I'd prefer to use the nice map for showing the moves in my blog. What would be the best way of doing that? I'd want to use some symbols for armies, cities under siege, and perhaps battle locations and maybe areas controlled. |

Don't assume any knowledge on my part! I haven't used graphics applications much |

You can do it with Microsoft Word or PowerPoint with a little effort and creativity. Save as PNG (if possible) or JPEG. Search around for a "medieval" icon font and search images.google.com for appropriate icons. You can use Advanced Search to narrow down to line art or what have you. |

You sould get a copy of Unhappy King Charles, by GMT. Vassal version would let you screen grab images for export. |

I handled a Flames of War campaign online using PowerPoint. Would heartily recommend that. I just took screenshot pictures of the map and the different units. As battles and movement was resolved I just moved the pictures/counters around the map. Easy to add arrows and small text blocks also. |
