I have been fiddling around with Gothic style sci fi inspired by a certain famous OOP game. These are not copies and are inspired by fan 3d images that I have converted. Here are some samples that I have not tried to print yet.

Space Cruiser

Another space Cruiser

Capital ship

Another Capital ship.

What do you think? Is anyone interested in stuff like this? I will be printing a couple later today to see how they turn out. Probably about 115mm length for Capital ships and
95mm for Cruisers.
As these are STL files I can scale them up or down fairly easily.

I think the fan images you converted were in fact fan copies of the original designs because I'm having trouble picking those from the original designs.

I guess I need to compare some actual images of original ships because I have no intention to make direct copies of anyones IP.

The big battleships would get the most interest I should think. They were only in metal and never plentiful. The plastic cruisers were more plentiful and then there are the metal escorts. You need lots of them and they die easy.

I love BFG, so the answer is yes!

How much?

I've got enough ships to build a Sector Fleet-much…I recently opened up all my old boxes, and I've got somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 plastic cruisers, and lots of customs.

In terms of playing value per rendering time, I think the best bet would be to start with escorts. The plastic cruisers are simply too common.

Even if they don't exactly match the original IP, a similar style is fine (just from a different factory world).

Now, if you went for some … amphibious assault ships wink I'd be interested.
