The Royal Tank Regiment is bringing back the urban Berlin Bde Camo for it's Challenger 2s as part of a study in improving the utility of tanks in urban environments: link

The use of brown surprises me. I would have thought that a dark gray would be more appropriate.

Hmm … looks good – love the eyes :-)

I don't recall the original Berlin scheme having brown actually, but I am getting on a bit so this could be an updated version.

As an American, I read RTR as Russian Tea Room, and was briefly confused:

Was a good match against the bricks in Berlin in the 1980s. But you're right, might not be as good a match today.

The Russian Tea Room is still a great place to visit on any trip to NYC, Oberlindes.

Maybe it's not as good as it was in the "good old days," but it's still worth a visit. Just bring a full wallet.

Next time you watch the movie "Tootsie" you can see what the place looked like back in the day.

Back in the day, I did see what the RTR looked like. That was even before Tootsie's 1982 release. It was a good time.

The RTR… Went there with the GF the last time we were in the Big Apple. An experience unto itself. And yes, bring a FULL wallet (but its worth it)!

I was looking at a picture of Chiftans in berlin camoflarge and it definitely has Brown which was a supprise. Not however to my friend who served in Germany with the REME.
