I did it! Peter Pig 15mm WW2 British para as 5 Commando for the Congo, with a few head swaps from helmet to beret.

That would work, get some FN's and a few GPMG's or similar and they'll look good. A few in American helmets maybe.

Using Perry 8th Army for SAS in Oman with weapons from The Assault Group, British paras similarly armed with different headgear should work fine.
