Gents -

I am running an Aspern Essling game at a convention in November and I'd like to use buildings as close to the actual buildings as possible. JR minis used to make a granary but I can't find it any more. Any recommendations?

Yes Monday knight, formerly Scenic Effects, were made after the real ones. No way around.

A third recommendation for the old Scenic Effects range now made by Monday Knight Productions.

I would suggest this link

This lists all of the 15mm buildings and you can get to Aspern and Essling from it.

They have some buildings that are not on their website for some reason. The best that I am aware of is the Aspern Church. They also have some destroyed buildings from the Aspern line. You may have to call or email and ask about them.

Also, if you want walls for the Apern church, you may want to use these:

My understanding is that Will had the mold for the Apern church for a number of years and did not realize what it was. It was only released a few years ago. These walls may have been intended for it. He had no walls that he thought went with the church when I inquired.

Great company to deal with too.

Many thanks, y'all.

I always scale down, as the foot print unless you are doing a skirmish game is way to big for the battle.

Time cast do a lovely 6mm version.. link

Rick Shuldt is a master model maker.
He used to sell a complete set of the key buildings for the Aspern Essling battle in 15mm.
I don't know if he is still in business, but might be worth the look. I bought a number of his Waterloo buildings and they were great value.

Cncbump- is there a website for him?

I again would recommend the old Scenic Effects range. If I remember correctly the Aspern church came with two buildings and walls/base. There was the main church building as well as an outbuilding which from what I have seen from photographs may still exist although the church was rebuilt.

OK gents –

I got the Monday Knight Productions set for Aspern and Essling. They are lovely! Thanks to all y'all for the recommendations. Next question is how to paint them? Black undercoat? Gray? Dark brown? Beige and dip? Input appreciated.
