Is it too soon to game this battle or are 9 years enough of a time gap to consider a battle historic? I recently got two boxes of modern day U.S. infantry and some Taliban insurgents and since Wanat did not involve a lot of men it won't be hard to recreate. Still, is there any sites I can purchase parts to create a military base? Or again, is a 2008 battle simply too recent to really do? |

I think it's possible to recreate. Have you been able to find a good images or plan of the base? If you can't find terrain pieces for the base you might be able to scratch build them. |

Not too soon. Trust me the military studied it within 6 months. For 15mm Peter Pig and Flashpoint both have "base" stuff. Joe |

If you and your opponent are happy to game it then it is no one else's business. |

I saw Mt Tumbledown done as display game at a UK convention in the early 90's IIRC (though subsequently I did discover the people who staged it had done some checking to ensure they weren't going to offend anyone involved (at least on the British side)). |
