Hey all! Well, if I have so many 6mm samurai, I need some ninja, no? I ordered some Neo Ninja from onslaught minis… yeah, they are futuristic, but at that scale I think they will be fine. link
Going to use a few on the next daimyo stand (like they are about to attack him) but I also have to do a few bases. What have people done before? Should I base them like an actual unit, really spread out on the base and maybe doing something interesting with them? Or base them smaller, like a small circular marker? Thoughts? |

I have sometimes used multiple individual stands, most of them being dummies (since concealment and disguise are key points); sometimes all the elements of shinobi were dummies, and the real agents were in disguise in an enemy unit (unknown identity, even to their employer; roll on every melee to see if a sleeper in the enemy ranks suddenly pops up and creates serious disorder). With 6mm, this sort of thing should be very feasible. Remember you can use any figures as ninjas; we don't know what they looked like, but it was probably usually a disguise. The black pyjamas don't make it into pictures until the 18th century. |
