I use Billy Bones Workshop's paper ACW for all my forces. They are produced in a lovely sepia tone finish, and are images of units and guns from pretty good reenactment units, as well as actual buildings and trees, fences, etc. I print them out on heavier strength parchment paper, and affix them to thin bass wood bases from Litko. For unit designations, I print out small labels using blue text for federal and red text for confederate and affix them to the back of the base with a glue stick so they can be swapped out easily enough if they ever get damaged or need to change the unit. I like these paper troops (they can be printed in either 15mm or 25mm scale, your choice, just select the scale before printing) and I can make them into any historical troops I'd like. The game I ran at Huzzah saw Hood's division facing off against Sedgewick's 6th Corps. 6 players and a good time had by all. |

Approx 1,000 AB miniatures per side, painted entirely generically for the main purpose of either Regimental or Brigade Fire and Fury, but since I have both sides based the same I can also use them for Black Powder. Took me almost 40 years of gaming, but I have finally come to the conclusion generic armies are best :) |

I have more Union, because there were more Union. I inherited Greg Novak's Volley and a Bayonet ACW collection and have enough to play any battle of the war including Gettysburg with JEB Stuart at full strength. |

My old Scruby "9mm" (actually about 13mm) ACW figures are organized (currently) as Sheridan's Army of the Shenandoah and Early's Army of the Valley -- 1 stand = 1 regiment. |

6mm Fire and fury for me, at that scale I can afford both armies and get a whole corps or two on an average table – I can always use larger magnetic trays for the more recent 60mm x 30mm based efforts like Polemos or altar of Freedom |
