Which of our many game designers in this hobby is the nicest? |

I have not had the opportunity to interact directly with very many, but I nominate as all around good guys: Ivan Sorensen of Nordic Weasel Games, a articulate writer and thoughtful designer who answers his fan mail in depth! Ed from Two Hour Wargames: Great guy to play with at a convention and has a wonderfully fun approach to rules and the hobby. Chris Engles of matrix Game fame: I have played in convention games twice that he ran, years ago, one of the smartest, nicest gus I have ever met. |

Known Ed Texeira of THW for decades. There is nobody nicer. Well, I'm with wrgmr1, Chris Leach is pretty darn nice too. And my couple of evenings with Arte Conliffe were pretty fun. Though I've never met him, so this may not count, but I've had the good fortune to get "stuff" from David Manley. Only wish I could attend his annual naval gathering in the UK. |
Frank Wang | 15 Aug 2017 5:59 p.m. PST |
Ivan Sorensen, the first place in my mind |

I have known many, gamed with a few, playtested several sets of well known rules for them, and continue to be in close contact with many – even if I'm not currently playing their games. They were universally nice – friendly, open, and generous – some of the best the hobby has to offer. I wouldn't want to single any one out, to be honest. Cheers, Christopher |
