Good report. Pity the Umayyad came out ahead. Interesting that the SP beat the BD in the third. |

@goragrad, If the spearmen (Sp) can mutually support one another, they gain an extra +1, bringing their combat factor even with blade. Spear do not pursue if their enemy recoils, therefore, you can wear your opponent down as he must expend pips to restore the line. If the situation for your opponent becomes critical on either flank, he may have to risk redressing his line which can work to your advantage. I prefer three elements of spear to form a line with supporting light troops on the flanks and slightly to the rear of the spearmen. |

Interesting – time to put the Anglo-Norman or the Ottonians with the SP instead of CV option on the table and see how that plays out. |
