Porsche or Heinkel? Which do you prefer?

Heinkel was an aircraft manufacturer ! Henschel was the other turret type. Now known as the serial turm.

Thanks. Slaps side of head.

Both turrets where designed by Krupp, there seems to have been some confusion that the first turret was designed by Porsche and the other by Henschel.

Apparently the first Krupp turret was installed on a Porsche chassis derived from their first attempt at the Tiger tank. Hence the idea that it was all designed by Porsche. Again the second turret was mounted on the winning Henschel design and was therefore assumed to be a Henschel design.

I thought the first Royal Tigers were all Porsche which were found to create a shot trap. Deflecting rounds though the thinner deck armor. That is why the Henschel ( thanks Stephen ) were used.

Then there is Henkell, which makes a mediocre sparkling wine, but I digress.

and Henkel industries, from Dusseldorf… they make the glue you stick your figures together with.
