Great looking models. I wonder how they compare to GW Brets

Mithmee19 Sep 2017 1:45 p.m. PST

Far better

Oh Mithmee…really?

The GW Brets do have better detail in plastic, BUT Norba's detail is pretty darn good. These are great minis. at great prices. Fantastic alternative to GW for building some of the old Warhammer armies, or adding to existing armies.

Mithmee20 Sep 2017 2:05 p.m. PST

Really, since GW does not even sell Bretonnians any more.

Ohh Mithmee, k…..we go around and around with this.

There is enough new in the package Bretonnian stuff on Ebay to last a lifetime! Thousands and thousands of GW Bretonnian item – brand new in the box, used, assembled but not painted, new sealed vintage blister packs, loose bits, you name it…

I'm not saying you SHOULDN'T buy Norba's stuff, you should! It's really good! But I'm also saying that GW's stuff is very good and you should buy that also!

Mithmee, do you have to make EVERY single thread into an anti-GW thread? Why does EVERY thread you post in have to be this boycott of all things GW? You can't even acknowledge that GW's Bretonnians have really good detail?

Wow.

The Perry Brother Bretonians issued just before the last Bret army book were works of art rarely exceeded (except by the current Perry Brother plastic medeivals).

The last batch was Monty Python and far inferior.

Can't tell from the pictures where the Norba's fall on the Perry-New Crap scale.

Working on A Game of Knights and Knaves: Old World Edition as I type so very interested in "proto" Bretanians to represent the Franconians of the "Old World". Yes I'm trying to create a version to rescuse all those Warhammer figures now sitting on shelves.

I said GW and they are not selling them.

Did I say anything about boycotting GW?

No I did not and what I did say is the truth since GW is not selling Bretonnians right now.

I feel that the bretonnians were the only real fairy tale army. Maybe orc and goblins a bit also. And dwarves I guess, early armies.

There seems to be no place for nice things like that in aos. Shame.

They were also very based in wfb style of gaming I doubt they would look nice in loose formations. Although pouring a bucket of knights on the table does sound like fun.
