Well, my searching sucks, as usual. Anyone have a source (or sources) for modern US TO&E? I'd particularly like to find info for an armored division, and if the info included the non-combat vehicles (CP, supply, etc.) that would be great. Thanks! |

The Cold War is a huge range. Could you narrow the time period you're looking for? Micromark is a good first start. |

wargames vault has several MTOE files. But they may not be in the period of modern you are looking for. Owen |

This is from 2012 and has changed. The change is that the Combined Arms battalions are now a 2/1 arrangement. 2 battalions of 2 tank companies and 1 Mech Infantry company. 1 battalion of 2 mech and 1 tank companies. There may be other changes but this is the only one I know of. PDF link |

Yes, that was pretty much the standard cross-attaching combined arms concept back in the '80s as well. E.g. the Armor Bde of 2ID was 2 Tank and 1 Mech Bn. Back at Ft. Benning, GA., our Mech Bde was 2 Mech and 1 Tank Bn. At that time my Mech Co was routinely cross-attached to that Tank Bn. In a "trade" for 1 Tank Co to our Mech Bn. And as pointed out, that went down to Company level as well. 1 Mech Plt traded for 1 Tank Plt. A Mech Hvy Company Team would be: 2 Mech Plts* 1 Tank Plt *[And for sake of accuracy] 1 [Organic to Mech Co.] M901 AT Section[2 AFVs]. And Tank Hvy Company Team would be the reverse and no M901 AT Section[of course]. But as already noted, all or some of this, may have changed. |

twawadell – that looks like it will do the trick! It's certainly close enough to my time frame that it'll answer some questions I've had. |
