One thing that many probably didn't see was now the clouds were creating a darkness moving towards the Lannister's battle line. |

I was not impressed with the Dothraki because they were just a collection of movie cliches. Jumping off your horse to wrassle on the ground. Standing on your horses while charging. Smashing into shield walls. Etc. |

Tons of such cliches are fresh and new to A LOT of that audience. Instead of "old and stale", maybe the producers think of it as "tried and true"? What else do you want of your steppe nomad horsemen? Besides, we finally got our Dothraki "screamers". Or are they ripping off rebs or injuns? |

In the background histories there is a famous battle where an Unsullied shield wall defeats a massive Dothraki horde. Good to see them using Bows in the HBO version, as this is their trade mark weapon. More likely to use shooting to wear down opponent then charge. They consider it a dishonor to dismount so would not willing do so. To D&D's credit (well the director who replaced David Nutter), the Lannisters did form a battle line which only collapsed after a Dragon blew firey hole in it and the Dothraki rushed through. Once chaos insued the mobile Dothraki could reek havoc. Jamie seemed to be able to pull toghether some Stands and even get the archers deployed (depends on PIP rolls). Shows they know a bit more abour medieval battles than many game designers (including those working on the Song of Ice and Fire game). Should have gotten that Scorpian deployed earlier and provided some extra crew for Bronn. Finally when all else fails Jamie used that tried and true last card – try to charge and take out the enemy Leader. (As requested I'm already working on a "Loot Train" scenrio for Knights and Knaves). Next week the real enemy global cooling er Wights and Others appear… Can't wait… TomT |

> They consider it a dishonor to dismount so would not willing do so. Except for the ones that willing (gleefully) jumped off their horses? |

Finally when all else fails Jamie used that tried and true last card – try to charge and take out the enemy Leader. Would have work if the Dragon Activation Card didn't show up. Lucky for Jamie he was able to make his… "Look out Sir" roll. |
