Oh, why hold out for the "what if?" No reason such a figure can't be shipped out to the low countries to help the Sea Beggars or to side with the Huguenots in France--not to mention chasing wild Irishmen. The English didn't have a war machine on the Spanish model, but they did plenty of fighting in the reign of the Virgin Queen. I could be talked into a few figures in 28mm myself.
