Friday night at New Buckenham Historical Wargamers saw six of us sit down for a game of Fire & Fury in 15mm based of the Battle of Antietam in 1862, specifically the fight for the cornfield near the Dunker church. This was one of a series of warm up games planned before a refight of the whole battle latter this year. Once again Richard provided a great game with lots of historical commentary thrown in. A few photos follow with more info on my blog Jabba's Wargaming

Tony, thanks for the write up and photos. Any chance of getting hold of the scenario notes and orbits, as looks like a scenario I would like to try.

Thanks,

Ezza

Nice! What mfg are the figures Old Glory?

Jabba Miles02 Aug 2017 4:29 a.m. PST

@GROSSMAN figures are mostly original Old Glory 15mm with a few Blue Moon 18mm in the mix.

@ezza123 The Scenario is extracted from the Fire & Fury Eastern Battles Scenario book. The Rules are Basic Fire & Fury with tweaks. our expert recommends the newer Brigade Fire & Fury for the same historical feel we get and apparently we will be swapping next year.
In a couple of weeks we will be doing the Sunken Road and Dunker Church scenario with up to 33 brigades and 28 batteries.

@ACWBill thanks although I can take no credit for the set up, I just played Union.

Superb table! We played the same scenario last week but our table didn't look like yours. The union took a pasting in our game.

Tony, thanks for letting me know where you got the scenario idea. I have that scenario book so will dig it out and have a read through again. Thanks, Ezza

@wrgmr1 I think our game was heading that way too when we ran out of time.
