I realize this shouldn't go here, but I can't post to the official Obituaries board, so maybe Bill will move this to its proper place. Author, playwrite, Broadway and Hollywood star Sam Shephard has passed away at 73 due to complications with ALS.
link Truly one of the finest of his generation, he was recognized for both his acting and his plays. He had been nominated for an Oscar and won a Pulitzer in his lifetime. Sam Shephard exemplified "The Right Stuff". He is survived by three adult children and his long-time love Jessica Lange. |

A terrific actor but can't say I know that much about his plays. Obviously a multi-talented guy and he will be missed. |
