A friend found in his attic a uniform inside a marked chest, that may be a world war one American soldiers'. There are two pair of pants (pewter or aluminum buttons, marked U.S. Army)and a uniform top. A written name on the inside of the uniform top and ASN *illegible (matching that on the chest of RALPH H JAQUAY, ASN 0001747 [or 0001717], Fort McD****illegible, followed by a painted out area. I have photos – but have been unable to upload them as yet. Shipping label on bottom side was to New York. |

Do you have a question? The only army fort that had "McD" that I am aware of is Fort McDowell in California. According to Wiki, the ASN appears to be of a WWI era convention. |

I am not sure what your asking. But if you are trying to confirm what they are then take several photos and send them with a description and any information you have to the National World War I Museum and Memorial. Doran Cart Senior Curator 816.888.8120 dcart@theworldwar.org theworldwar.org |
