The regiment von bose for my southern armies. Figures are the delightful but underappreciated range of figures from RSM miniatures. Nice figures at very reasonable cost.

Yes. RSM are nice figures, and under appreciated.
I might say the same about Battle Honors sold by Old Glory 15s.

Nice job too.

The troops look stunning.

I am curious about your source for Bose being in the south in 1779 and early 1780. My information suggests they came south with Leslie in his raid on Virginia later in 1780 and then joined Cornwallis. Rall's former grenadier regiment later was known as Trumbach in 1779 and was part of the troops that came south with Campbell in late 1778 and participated in the 1779 campaigns, so it may be a case of two different units sharing the same name.

Weren't they st Guilford Courthouse?

Yes, they were.

I should have added aside from the white lapels I believe the uniform worn by Bose is similar to the uniform worn by the Hessian Garrison Regiment Wiessenbach which did accompany Campbell to Georgia in 1778 and participated in both battles at Savannah. So while the Bost regiment did not participate in the 1778-1779 southern campaigns, the figures would be close enought to be useable for it.

Big fan of the RSM figures, and they are under-appreciated. Inexpensive and Dayton Painting Services gives good service too.

Bill N,

I will correct that. Thank you.

Nice figures, really thick bases. Nice painting. Thanks for sharing.
