This is my first squad painted up for Bolt Action and other WW2 rulesets. They are intended primarily for use in Malaya and the Pacific theatre, perhaps mainland China far down the line. This was an experiment to find satisfactory colours; one that I am fairly pleased with, though I wouldn't say I ended up with quite what I had in mind. Miniatures are by Warlord plastics. Happy to hear other people's thoughts and experiences with painting Japanese for WW2. My workstation lighting needs some improvement. Under a daylight bulb the minis come out a little too shadowed. They looked much better on the tabletop. Blog Post : link link

I think they look great. Almost any color of faded khaki or green should work for these. I think you came up with a very good color scheme. |

I've used Vallejo Japanese Uniform washed with sepia, also a faded khaki color so as WarWizard says almost anything in faded khaki works. The naval landing forces (marines) were in a green uniform. |

Thanks @WarWizard! @ZULUPAUL I do have some of that VMC Japanese Uniform. I may use it for jungle troops and a China theatre unit. |

They look nice! Who makes the figs? Thanks. John |

Thanks, @John. They're Warlord's plastic IJA kit. The faces are rather crude but they come together nicely. Lots of options. |
