In no particular order …

"Dirty" Harry Callahan
Inspector Jacques Clouseau
Shaft
Inspector Gadget
Nancy Drew
Dirk Gently
Yoon San (The Vampire Detective)
Rick Deckard
Dick Tracy

… simply because these ones give lots of opportunities for dynamic scenarios on the table. I enjoy a lot of other detective stories, but they would be best (IMHO) for RPGs, LARP, and puzzle-style board games. Not to say minis don't work well with those type of games, too.

Someone makes a not Dirty Harry, and a Shaft as well, I believe.

Whemever123 Jul 2017 4:54 p.m. PST

Why is Nancy Drew so much more popular than the Hardy Boys? Just asking. Also, I'm all in favor of Marcus Didius Falco, but you'd need a whole mess of Roman civilians. All I have are legionaries and a few gladiators. Alba and Helena though, for sure.
Plus Jim Chee, and Lt. Leaphorn from Hillerman's Tribal Police series.

Dr Argent23 Jul 2017 9:27 p.m. PST

"The Rockford Files", Jim Rockford but must also have a scale 1976 Pontiac Firebird.
