FYI, there is a special tool for cleaning out clogged file teeth.
Basically, it's a wire brush.

And it can also be used to give a "grain" to balsa wood.

Very nice work! When I had used pine dowelling to model a Russian house, I first cut V-notches with a heavy knife before filing the notches to a rounded profile. It saved some filing work, compared to filing-out entire notches.
