What a shame you had no chance to sample Turkish coffee.

Good report and photos.
Cheers,
Robert

They did not offer me Turkish coffee, only flaming arrows …grin
Thanks a lot Robert!
Best,
Phil.

Nice AAR – have a great summer!

I have those Essex figures, and painted in much the same way: black undercoat style.

I see you had to sneak in some 15th/16th century armoured spahis to make up the numbers. I'm lucky in having enough unarmoured spahis to cover the entire renaissance period. They double as inferior feudal spahis for the 16th/early 17th century and (despite their lack of pistols) any spahis for most of the 17th century.

Thanks a lot both of you, glad you enjoyed…
@Henry : we use black undercoat style on our 15mm figures, you're right, we find that it accentuates the relief …
Cheers,
Phil.

Hi Phil,

Greetings from Ambert.

Turkish delight!

And of course the Polish winged hussars are always wonderful!

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Paul
