Very pretty figures. Did these guys switch sides during the hundred days? |

Well done, compliments. Bobgnar, the 3rd regiment was disbanded by Imperial Decree of 15 February 1813. In January 1813 the regiment consisted in 18 officers and 17 men. The officers survived from Russian campaign were promoted the others regiment of the guard. |

Thank you ! Yes, the Dutch Grenadiers were wiped out during the Russian campaing and dissolved in 1813.
Another 3rd Grenadiers regiment was formed, mainly with French soldiers, in 1815 and fought at Waterloo, but at that time they had lost their characteristic white uniform and wore a uniform similar to the other Grenadiers of the Guard. |

I believe this regiment was created in 1810. Makes me curious, though. Did they have that 1804 model flag made in 1810? Seems possible. But then when they ceased to exist, that flag and eagle would have been sent . . . where? Also possible they never had an eagle or flag. I believe the 1812 guard infantry had only two eagles – or am I thinking of 1815? |
