In the spirit of Keep it Simple, each Hot Spot triggers hostile NPCs and contains some form of salvage. It's only in higher threat level areas that you get a chance of the Hot Spot being an Anomaly with an Artifact.

I'm rendering a lot of items and events generically. I want ZP to capture STALKER's tone without stepping on the IP. On the bottom line, ZP is a just skirmish combat game with a few RPG-lite elements. The STALKER-verse is there for flavor. (and coolness-quotient)
