"Model cars moving on a conveyor belt that resembles a multi-lane highway make an interesting opening shot. Then we see designers working away on drawing boards at what was then the original Lesney Products factory. The shots here open a window to the pre-computer past, with parts and and prototypes being made with tools of a bygone age. If you can ever find a copy of the book "Mike and The Model Makers" it tells the story of Lesney (Matchbox)…very fun read… |
