While reading TMP the other day, I stumbled across a link to Warmonger Miniatures, which apparently belongs to Wargame Foundry. Warmonger is intended to market an older Fantasy line.

The products which interested me most are the Elven Guards, which can be found here:

I like the look of these. Am I right in assuming that they might be slightly smaller in stature because they are an older line? Also, the faces seem very female to me, but the bodies don't show the typical fantasy trope of armored breasts. If these sculpts are of smaller stature, then being female subjects would be reasonable.

I like the sculpts so much that I don't really care if they are intended to be female. It might even be sort of fun. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with these particular figures who might kindly give some feedback about them? They look liked they'd be a joy to paint up.

These have been around for a while. They are (were?) part of the line that contained the revenant elves. All the not-revenant Elves were female if I remember (except for the cupid figs). The guards are bulky because of all the layers of clothing. They seemed pretty big at the time, and while I don't have one in my hands, I'm confident that would blend in (size wise)to most lines today.

I painted a handful for someone, and I recall really enjoying it. But that was 15 years ago (or more), so my memory could be faulty.

Thank you for sharing what you know, Fabet01. Your advice was helpful enough for me to go looking for a few other female elven figures of archers, heroes, and magic users that might match their look.

It will be fun to have a small collection of a couple of dozen figures for SBH, Frostgrave, or other fantasy skirmish rules. I've never done fantasy before.

Very grateful.
