Hi, Colonial enthusiasts, you may remember my search for 'Fulani Hats' with which to convert my 28mm Camel Mounted Kettledrummers from the Middle East to the African Savannah. I corresponded with Gerry at Castaway Arts, and he had a couple of possibilities. Today I found a little package from Australia in the mail. Generous Gerry sent me, gratis, a pair of perfectly shaped 28mm shields and a pair of his pre-production-casting-Fulani Hats from which he made masters for the Castaway African Savannah Knights range !! He wouldn't even allow me to pay for the postage. They are PERFECT, exactly what I desire, and will soon be gracing the heads of two of my three camel-mounted kettledrummers !! Thanks, Gerry, for the wonderful gift. I am humbled. Chick

He's a great guy. I've met him at Historicon a few times. In fact, he followed my "advice" in making German crews for the Ark of the Covenant. And Goliath for the Phillistines. ((To be honest, he was probably going to do them anyway…)) |

Gerry is a great guy! I've met his wife and him twice now on their visits to the States to see the Broms. Jim |
