Do you determine the scale of a building by measuring the height of the door? I assume it would be about 6ft so if the door is 15mm high does that make the building 15mm scale? (OK I realize that 15mm is not a scale but you know what I mean!) |

This is a battle report of one of our games played in preparation for the tournament at "The Weekend". Naturally I didn't want to post it early and give my future opponents an information on my tactics :) (not like the previous 60 postings would) Anglo Irish against Swiss L'Art de la Guerre, 200 points per side. link Enjoy |

Whoa, I saw a nearly instantaneous and had to look. For everyone else, the second posting is the original posting for this topic. the first is introduced by some computer bug in the forum code. |

If all of the doors here were 6ft. I'd be in for some serious head and back pain. |

It's one way to assess, especially from a visual aesthetics perspective, if it "looks right". While doors were often shorter, it wasn't necessarily due to shorter average height (at least according to what I've read). I tend to go more by the footprint of the building itself and it's utility for gaming rather than literal appropriateness or accuracy. Many buildings, if truly scaled, would be of virtually no use for interior mini placement, movement, etc. Bottom line…does it "look right" for the purposes of aesthetics, functionality of the rules, fluidity of use, etc.? |
