To introduce my six and three year-old to playing miniatures and give them a little more appreciation for the 4th of July, I gave them a few packs of 54mm plastic Revolutionary war figures today. They enjoyed playing them most of the day and this evening we watch the movie The Crossing. After the movie, the kids immediately went back to playing with the soldiers again. And then, to my great satisfaction, they asked to see daddy's "soldier's books" (my Ospreys). It's been a good day.

Sounds like a great way to introduce them to the history of our nation. Thanks for posting. I will be helping my son and his wife introduce history to our new grandson in a few years. Have a great Fourth!

And that's how it's done. No rules for a few years. And never tell
Them they're doing it wrong.
