Our illustrious editor has gone away on his holidays for some well earned R&R. Where do we think Bill has chosen for his holiday destination?

I'm thinking the UK, so he can be a special surprise guest at COW or the Naval Wargames Weekend next weekend

This sounds too much like a "Should the OFM ….." Poll from the Bad Times in 2011. So I will decline to participate, since Dear Editor has said he is on vacation. We should take him at his word for that, right? Not around to defend himself etc etc etc.

I know he's on holiday. It is a "I wonder where", not "if", Personally I'm hoping its somewhere with a lovely beach and a tiki bar (which probably counts COW out – but Gosport comes close :) )

He is on a 2 week training corse to see if he'll be selected as one of the first humans to go to Mars. He will spread the gospel of wargaming to those heathen Martians!

Maybe a guest at Historicon? That's coming up.

Winston has the right idea… This is a powder keg post waiting for someone to light a match….

Maybe.

Or maybe the Supporting Members can use this as an opportunity to show that they can have some light hearted fun whilst also acting responsibly for a couple of weeks.

+1 for David!

He will have gone where all sensible people go on holiday….the Isle Of Wight!

Gone Fishing01 Jul 2017 11:38 a.m. PST

Wherever he goes I hope he has a lovely time. Tiki bars improve any destination.

I as really hoping this post included photoshopped images of Bill hanging out in humorous locales. Curse my lack of tech-savvy!

Bill like the Travelocity gnome. That would be funny.

For a cosmopolite like Bill there is only one option : Pension Bij Eugène in Blankenberge :

Belgium's 65km of coast is dominated by concrete and highrise buildings, interspersed with small pensions where you'd swear the 1970's never went away.

Pension Bij Eugène offers you a luxurious stay. All rooms come with cold and ice-cold water on tap. Enjoy the view on the Belgian hinterland and witness the effervescent activity in one of Europe's largest car junkyards, annex go-kart racing circuit. Situated right next to Café "De Rooie Valk" with its authentic Decap organ you can dance away like it's 1949 until the early hours of the evening (7-9 PM) every first Thursday of the month.

OK, I'm sold. Karting circuit and a massive scrapyard! Now that is my idea of a holiday! Being British, cold water is not a problem.

Might give the old ladies a miss, though….
