Our hosting service, the company which houses and maintains the actual TMP server, informs me that TMP is more popular than ever! (Well, actually, they're charging us for exceeding our usual bandwidth… but it's the same thing.) While I could guess at what is putting the wind in our sails, rather than speculate, I will simply say that the old adage appears true: all publicity is good publicity. I would also like to formally welcome the 99 new members who joined TMP in June. Most of whom are not sock puppets!

People are always running down sock puppets. Even "Scarface" in Batman is portrayed as a ruthless killer with a speech defect.

It would appear, from this news, that the perpetual claim that TMP is on its last legs, and heading for the knackers is, at best premature. They've been predicting TMP's imminent death for at least a decade now, but we just keep growing!
