Who makes figures that would fit with those from Firelock Games ? I'm looking for some variety – especially if I can find a UK based company TIA |

Great question. Please include US based also! |

I picked up a couple packs of Firelock minis, to give them the eyeball. If I do decide to take the plunge, I'm planning on using my North Star "1672" (old Copplestone "Glory of the Sun") range as regular European forces. NS's are a *hair* shorter than Firelock, and a bit less bulky- Firelock's coats are fuller, and officer's hat's are 'showier". But I think they'll mix alright. The '1672' range is, of course, carried by North Star in the UK, and in the US by Brigade Games and Noble Knight. |

Would like to see a comparison photo of them with Old Glory, Foundry and Blue Moon. |

Somewhere over on The Lead Adventure Forum is a post that includes a pic comparing a B&P figure with several other makers. There was a cross link in another thread in here but it looks like that poster got the boot and his post got deleted. I tried to find the LAF post but failed. The B&P game designer is in here as "Frantic.". But he seems not PM'able. Frantic described using "foundry minis for play testing factions we haven't made minis for yet and I think they don't look to bad. IF your picky about that sort of thing, may not be a good fit, otherwise it shouldn't be an issue." The pic showed B&P somewhat larger than the others depicted. Only Black Scorpion were really close in size, but very different stylistically. None if the figures shown were Foundry, OG or BM. In the UK I think I'd try Redoubt. Some, but not all, of their lines run large. Just steer clear of anybody in a tricorne. At Historicon I plan to cross compare B&P with Eureka's Conquistador line. I plan to get a Portuguese drummer even if smaller. He'll be just on deck for flavor so his size isn't a huge concern. Hope this helps. |

Thanks. I saw the comparison you mentioned. If no one is addressing the issue thus far must mean its a sizeanle difference. Might put a pledge in anyway. Thanks, Frank |

Actually got to see a comparison courtesy of Mike from Firelock – Blue Moon a nice match – Old Glory a wee bit smaller. Might work with mounting OG figs on two washers instead of one. |

We compared ours to standard plastic English Civil War figures and found the plastics a bit small – had hoped to use together and may still do so but in seperate units (B&P nice but pricey). B&P tall but slender – nice scale on weapons. TomT |

OG are smaller but I think they are close enough to use together although you'll probably want to weed out the OG lads wearing later period tricorns. Here is a Dixon guy on the left, B&P in the middle and OG on the right. B&P now make enough different figures that you don't really need too many other ones if you are going for the golden age games
