The first season will follow King Stefan the First Crowned (played by Voyin Chetkovich) and will cover 80 years of time. The series will also cover his marriages with Byzantine princess Eudokia Angelina, the niece of the Byzantine Emperor, and with Anna Dandolo, a granddaughter of the Venetian doge who gave him his heir King Stefan Urosh!" Just ask Putin, as far as the Russians are concerned all 'Slavs' are Russians – Serbians, Poles, Ukranians….they just haven't been absorbed yet. |

Produced by RTS – Serbian national TV. I know, I know, all of those Slavic languages sound alike… Should be interesting. Be nice if it educated a few people as to some history besides that of northern Europe and the Middle East in the Middle Ages. As to Putin, Pan-Slavism was alive and well under the tsars and a tool for expanding Russian hegemony. |
