Heading to Historicon in a few weeks got me thinking about the flea market. What are the miniatures, vehicles, terrain, etc that are out of print and you just can't find? For me it is Grindhouse Games' Dogface Robots from their "Junk" line.

Ral Partha 25mm Elves.

Mad Guru Supporting Member of TMP27 Jun 2017 2:16 a.m. PST

Frontier 25mm Indian Sappers & Miners/Pioneers with entrenching tools on their backs… and Pontoonier 28mm Third Burma War Gurkhas, which are rumored to be back "in print" but available only at semi-mythical conventions in the Mid-West.

Fergo11327 Jun 2017 3:36 a.m. PST

Ral Partha 25mm Elves are progressively coming back. Iron Wind Metals have run two Kickstarters to re-make the old Ral Partha line for Chaos Wars. You can see more at Iron Wind Metals online store here:

And their Ral Partha website here:

I tend to think original Minifig spaceships might be of interest.

SFB's Pseudo Fighters are still good, I think.

I like original Starfire minis, but not sure if they count as 'beyond reach.'

Also-rans include non-rotted Star Frontiers, original Star Fleet Wars(I consider new production Monday Knight superior, but nostalgia…), Archive (sp?).

I came by way of Spaceship Gaming, so my first thoughts.

Dashetal27 Jun 2017 6:56 a.m. PST

Ral Partha Condotteri.

Squats. Heritage John Carter of Mars figures. But I've made progress on both fronts.

Insomniac27 Jun 2017 7:05 a.m. PST

Warzone, Bauhaus Vulkan and Viktor battlesuits from the original game.

Martian Metals' Boppers for Rivets.

Col Durnford27 Jun 2017 7:54 a.m. PST

19th century true 25mm regular Afghans.

Perhaps that are really unicorns.

Allen5727 Jun 2017 8:24 a.m. PST

Interested in purchasing Star Frontiers spaceships? I have a bunch unpainted in original packaging.

boy wundyr x27 Jun 2017 9:18 a.m. PST

Martian Metals Traveller figures, at normal human prices – I don't mind paying some premium for them, but not $60 USD+ for a pack of three 15mm figures.

Recently got three K'Kree for a very reasonable price, so I'm not completely without hope, but that took about three years of patience and diligence to find them.

rotscheck27 Jun 2017 10:19 a.m. PST

Leading Edge Games Aliens and Colonial Marines. At least at a decent price.

MHoxie27 Jun 2017 10:21 a.m. PST

Martian Metals did a prototype Tarkus knock-off, the Panzerdillo:

The Angry Piper27 Jun 2017 10:56 a.m. PST

Thunderbolt Mountain's "Death's Door" diorama! I must own this!!!!!

shirleylyn27 Jun 2017 11:32 a.m. PST

One or Both of the first Blood Bowl Trolls.

They both are holding footballs.

My husband wants them badly.

shirleylyn27 Jun 2017 11:36 a.m. PST

Oh Insomniac!

I think my husband has those BauHaus miniatures. Contact me @

Norman D Landings27 Jun 2017 12:07 p.m. PST

Beaky marines, maybe?

Foundry's 15mm ranges?

For an exceedingly rare species:
Ral Partha's Ogre Mk.IV.

A few prototypes were made, never went into full production.

Personal logo Yellow Admiral Supporting Member of TMP27 Jun 2017 2:04 p.m. PST

SJ Games did eventually produce a model of the MK IV. I think I may have two of them. They also made a Fencer, and I'm *pretty* sure I bought one while they were available. (Maybe I should do an inventory….?)

Grenadier Models did two boxes of Dark Crystal miniatures that I have never been able to get my hands on.

I also have an inordinate fondness for the old Heritage Dungeon Dwellers line.

Personal logo miniMo Supporting Member of TMP27 Jun 2017 2:38 p.m. PST

Hmm, SJG did release the Mk.IV, also OOP now and still a somewhat rare beast: link

I have a Ral Partha Fencer (and a couple of Mk.III's), a very sleek monster!

The plastic III's and V's will soon be plentiful. Seven of each awaiting the KS fulfillment. There may be a variety of conversions following that…

Lion in the Stars27 Jun 2017 3:19 p.m. PST

These days? RTB01 Beakie Marines (and their metal friends).

6mm metal space marines (they do exist, I've seen pics).

Leading Edge Colonial Marines are also up there.

Coyotepunc and Hatshepsuut27 Jun 2017 4:57 p.m. PST

Mega Miniatures 28mm K'Kree.

@ boy wundyr x: I have quite a few of the Martian Metals 15mm K'Kree. I spent about 30 years collecting them, but I really don't do 15mm any more at all. They are based and painted (many of them, anyway.)

They currently live in Storage, and it may take me a while to find them. PM me if you are interested.

David Johansen27 Jun 2017 5:05 p.m. PST

Metal Cadian Rocket Launcher and Mortar. Also about 24 additional metal Cadians.

Der Krieg Geist27 Jun 2017 9:31 p.m. PST

GW/Citadel Miniatures, Lava Dragon, Ogre Thug and the original Ogre Dragon/Dragon Ogre.I would be willing to Trade a large quantity of old school GW fantasy miniatures for these. :)

Orcbuddy27 Jun 2017 9:34 p.m. PST

Original "Sand Runners" sculpts from Void miniatures.

Codsticker27 Jun 2017 10:56 p.m. PST

The Bear's Den (I think that is what they were…) Mughals.

Covert Walrus27 Jun 2017 11:43 p.m. PST

Let's see -

QT Models Starforce 300 SF vehicles, more specifically the Mo cassin hover vehicle variants, Polarian infantry and the Solar Marines light transports le vehicles

CMD or GZG first edition Full Thrust ships, mainly the first ESU, NAC and FSE vessels.

Most of the Snapdragon Studios SF buildings.

SJG or Ral Partha Ogre items – Vulcan and drone, the Ni ja and both faction Missile Crawlers, though I have a RP Paneuro, and a rather nice custom Combine one :)

Forge World Epic Tau. The lot.

That's about all my must haves. I'd accept Substitutes like Shapeways "near enough" for some, not a purist completely.

TheBeast Supporting Member of TMP28 Jun 2017 5:48 a.m. PST

Interested in purchasing Star Frontiers spaceships?

Have a bunch unopened; I may be too timid lest I only find dust…

I have a Ral Partha Fencer

A friend took the hull from a FASA Gorn Battleship to make his own image of, but I'm not sure gain equaled loss.

There were first Edition Full Thrust?!? Or the same that were available with second?

I really liked the RT Slann and had a small force painted up, now long gone. I would like to see these again.

If I were doing 25s, McEwan Acheron Legion Undead Soldiers from Hell and der Kriegspielers Fantastiques Dwarves.

In 15mm the old TSR/Ral Partha Orc and Goblin lines.

DuckanCover28 Jun 2017 3:17 p.m. PST

"Leading Edge Games Aliens and Colonial Marines. At least at a decent price."

This also.

Jim bowens graven images line.

saltflats192928 Jun 2017 5:14 p.m. PST

Yep Jim Bowen's 40mm Sharpe and Harper plagued me for awhile, but someone else is casting them now. (I forget who tho…)
At the moment it is Mongrel miniatures line.

Der Krieg Geist28 Jun 2017 6:07 p.m. PST

Orcbuddy, are you talking about the Junkers Sand runners from I-Core, for the Void game?

Crazyivanov28 Jun 2017 6:29 p.m. PST

Chaos Renegade 1 and the Mounted Renegades. There's something about old 40k that makes me want it.

I have the Leading Edge Huge Mother Alien model and will never complete it. What might it be worth?

Old Glory Wild Bunch pack.

DragonReborn29 Jun 2017 1:37 p.m. PST

Early 90s Fantasy Forge large figurines like the Snow Dragon or Mountain Giant. Very hard to find. Only one source I knew and that shut down.

Early 90s Grenadier Resin Buildings (The Town of Grenatown). I had one building but it was impossible to get more.

Early 80s Otherworld Artifacts diorama sets. Never seen them before and haven't since.

Part time gamer29 Jun 2017 3:48 p.m. PST

Steve Jackson's OGRE 'definetly' makes my list. I only ever got 3 of the actual 'Ogres'.
Ive had them 'put up' for so long, w/ the exception of the Fencer, I cant even recall for certain of which versions.

Yellow Admiral
(Maybe I should do an inventory….?)

Im sure some of you are aware even following this project.
But I stumbled across this, a Kickstarter notice; they 'may' do the Ogre minis in Plastic.

edmuel200030 Jun 2017 11:46 a.m. PST

Wish I was attending so I could stop by your stand and buy a unit's worth.

Any chance you could sell them via mail order, maybe after you're back from the convention…?
