No actually, it's not. It's supposed to be a witch and the artist may have interpreted her as more spirit than corporeal. The composition is weird, even bizarre, but it's not revolting. I admit the object that looks like a butt-plug in her right hand is a bit disconcerting, but the maskT and accoutrements are well done, the breasts aren't overdone, and it's on the whole not bad. I don't understand entirely the hair, and I don't know how structurally sound the "skirt" of fronds is, but that's Ok. It's not revolting to look at, ao I'd say a straight B. I'd give her a flat B but she's not flat. The color scheme is a bit garish, but I suspect the artist was attempting to paint in primary colors and have her model with the hair and maks the petals, stamens, and other elements of a flower. From that aspect the concept works. On the other hand it could just be the chorus line from the Palm Court Lounge coming in for the 5 o'clock show. |
