So having played a number of Black Powder Games for AWI I was asked to playtest British Grenadier a week ago, interesting game, although I ma not convinced, full write up and game report on the blog.

I think your issues with the game regarding time are valid. It is a matter of balance between play time and reflection of the period being played. If you can leave the game up for a while British Grenadier is great, if you want to get a result in a couple of hours it is probably not the game for you.

Agreed Vigilant, I think we will try some simple amends before giving up on them but think it will be a choice between period feel or playability unfortunately. Willkeep everyone updated.

Funny, played BG twice. Monmouth and Brandywine. Once you know the rules it played to conclusion in three hours. Four tops.

Thanks dantheman, will definately be trying them again, maybe we just need to know them better.
