This has come up recently, when one of our members felt 'attacked' when someone else said they thought that person was a member of the Frothers website.

Has the reputation of Frothers sunk so low, that being accused of active membership there constitutes a "personal attack" by TMP forum rules?

(Note that I myself have a Frothers account, though I haven't used it in ages…)

OMG. Seriously people?

Some people just need to find a little "safe space" where everyone else always says all their favorite words.

NO…Geeze we are really getting sensitive here.

Winston Smith21 Jun 2017 1:56 p.m. PST

No, Bill.
"Frothers" is NOT a personal attack. Just because you and they despise each other is no reason to give yourself an excuse to ban someone for bringing them up.

Yes, they are loud and crude. So what?
Tell the snowflake who was "offended" to put his big boy pants on.

Do we all have to take loyalty oaths to TMP now?
Are you going to start banning people for posting there? Well, I do, and as often as not it's to defend TMP.

No, it isn't.

Nope.

No

That shouldn't have anyone "Frothing" at the mouth.

Exactly what John has said… exactly!…

It does amuse me when a few people here get in a tizzie about "Frothers" when we know damn well that they frequent and contribute to the site as well :)

No. But calling someone out for calling you a Frother is a personal attack. :)

It's interesting that there are so many negative posts here. Yet somehow it will be considered necessary to run that poll.
Guess what. The poll will then be magically supportive.

Rather than write post after post responding to silly complaints, perhaps our Dear Editor could work on making it easier to post photos on this site.

Wasn't my idea, just responding to a member's complaint. I always try to listen to what the people want. grin

No it isn't.

Does the individual that wants "Frothers" to be treated as the Nazi rule happen to be the same ONE person that also wants to create gender profiles, so that people can be DHd or publicly shamed for using the "wrong" pronouns?

If so, that ONE person seems to carry a lot of weight around here.

If it is , that one person needs to carry alot of "locked account".

Be very careful, Dan; that last comment could be interpreted as a 'fat' jibe.

"Quisling" is a personal attack. "Frother" does not rise to that level.

link,

You mean like this?

or this?

attilathepun4721 Jun 2017 10:39 p.m. PST

No, not until "Frother" appears in some published dictionary as a gross perjorative term.

IMO, the less said about that other "site" and the "flora & fauna" that inhabit it … the better … Nothing good or of any real value comes from there …

Buck21522 Jun 2017 7:10 a.m. PST

I think "Frother" would best be applied to a really good foam of beer in a glass…

I just thought of a new "term" for some types – "Frolls" huh? wink I think it's roots and creation is self explanatory … laugh LOL !
