Hi guys Some 28mm Middle Guard Grenadiers and Chasseurs finished for a friend, not sure who makes these figures, not bad though, they do the job, noticed some moustaches I missed, will need to fix those, all comments welcome. dan.dunbar@hotmail.com More pics here link

Front Rank minis – the Napoleonic figures exclusively modeled off re-enactors. Well fed. |

Brian for a +1. And these are very well painted figures, Gunner. Jim |

Very nice and clean Just a question – seeing the shako reinforcement (the chevrons) – were they black, or white? I have a feeling I have seen them white before. But if they are front rank I can see why they are popular – very nice and clean details, to make painting easier Marc |

Nice work Gunner, I personally really like Front Rank figures. Wonderful to paint. Being that they are Middle Guard would they not have white piping around the edges of their backpacks? |

If 28mm figures are painted well enough to take this level of magnification…that is impressive. |

Your probably right about the chevrons and piping, will look into it. |

Check it out. Immediate reaction…without any reference…is….. both I have seen. I do admit the shako chevrons, with no distinguishing colour, seems daft…but I have seen… No….I will check |

I did. I found them with white chevrons, white chevrons and a white band around the top of the shako but also black bands…and Rousellot should know. I suspect many (including me) may have confused Young and Middle Guard and, let's face it, definition of latter was vague at best and changed regularly!

I understood the MG to have had chevrons, but not the YG. Happy to be corrected |
